The skeptic's dilemma:
The earth will last forever.
"That thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the Lord thy God giveth thee for ever." Deuteronomy 4:40
"The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever." Psalm 37:29
"The earth which he hath established for ever." Psalm 78:69
"Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever." Psalm 104:5
"One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever." Ecclesiastes 1:4
The earth will not last forever, but will be destroyed.
"The earth and the heavens are the work of thy hands. They shall perish." Psalm 102:25-26
"For, behold, I create a new heavens and a new earth." Isaiah 65:17
"For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all
be fulfilled." Matthew 5:18
"Heaven and earth shall pass away; but my words shall not pass away." Matthew 24:35, Mark 13:31, Luke 21:33
"Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands. They shall
perish." Heb.1:10-11
"The heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works
that are therein shall be burned up." 2 Peter.3:10
"Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth." 2 Peter 3:13
"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away." Revelation 21:1

There is a very simple answer for this quandry. When the Bible speaks of the earth lasting forever, it refers to the physical
planet core-- devoid of life. This is what Psalm 104 means by “foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed”.
From this point, we can make the conjecture that the other planets in our solar system may have had life on them at some time.
However, our planet will have a brand new establishment of life after Jesus Christ returns. From a deadened mass of a planet
will God create the new earth, just as he formed the old one.
The earth’s atmosphere and surface seethe with life because of orgone energy, a pro-creative energy. The complete withdrawal
of this energy will indeed destroy the earth’s surface and heavens(sky). That is why when a reference is made to the
destruction of the earth, the heavens are also included in the desolation.
The key phrase in this interpretation is “The earth and the heavens are the work of thy hands.” (Psalm 102) God
started with a formless planet which was void of life. From this foundation did He then perform His “work” in
6 days. His present work upon the face of the planet will perish at the end of our time.
Basically, there are 2 definitions of the earth: 1.)the earth’s core structure without the life, and 2.)the earth with
life-sustaining essence. The life of the earth is what makes our planet special, but at some point God will wipe the life
off and start a new creation on the structure of the old earth.
